GNITE aims to strengthen justice, safety, and independence for women and girls with disabilities in Madhes Province. Many women in this region face violence, discrimination, and barriers to basic services. The project focuses on improving access to justice by building awareness of rights, supporting survivors, and coordinating with local governments to make services more inclusive. It also works with communities to reduce stigma and create supportive environments. Training, capacity building, and advocacy are used to improve the response of police, courts, health services, and local units. Through partnerships with local organizations, IGNITE builds long-term systems that protect and empower women. The project also supports women with disabilities to participate in decision-making at the community level, helping them claim their rights and contribute to local governance. Overall, IGNITE works to create safer and more inclusive communities across Madhes Province.
