Nepal Disabled Women Association completes social audit for 2025

On Dec 26, 2025, Nepal Disabled Women Association organized a Social Audit Report Dissemination Event at Pension Vasana, Kathmandu. The social audit was conducted by Mr. Umanga Mainali, an independent consultant. He visited some of the selected NDWA project sites, contacted project beneficiaries, stakeholders, and project staff.

The Deputy Mayor of Budanilkantha, Ms. Anita Lama chaired the program. In her speech, she expressed her gratitude towards NDWA for sharing their expertise in disability and helping the municipality to grow one step closer to becoming disability-friendly.

Similarly, the representatives from the Social Welfare Council also participated in the program. SWC also shared that NDWA has become one of the pioneering organizations to take disability into account while designing and implementing different community-level programs.

The beneficiaries also shared that their life have changed a lot since they have been associated with NDWA. The stakeholders shared that they have learnt a lot about disability and their needs and have co-created ways to address these needs.

The consultant also provided suggestions and feedback to the organization.
