The FAIDA project mainly aims to empower the people with disabilities to have financial autonomy. The project runs in all the local palikas.

FAIDA2 will demonstrate how to achieve financial inclusion for persons with disabilities across Nepal.

In Chitwan District, the following outcomes will be delivered:
1. Persons with disabilities are better represented and/or included by 122 strengthened local organisations, including cooperatives, Self Help Groups (SHGs), and OPDs
2. 15,000 persons with disabilities + 83,000 of their carers and wider community members (= total 98,000; 50% women) are financially literate, leading to increased agency and control over personal finances
3. 12,000 persons with disabilities (50% women) will access a financial product/service for the first time
4. 980 persons with disabilities (50% women) have new or improved livelihoods in climate-smart agricultural value chains, contributing to improved resilience to shocks
5. 35 service providers (14 cooperatives + 14 agri-vendors + 7 municipalities) are offering more inclusive financial and agricultural services.

Nationally,
6. NRB has adopted disability-inclusive financial policies that all banks and financial institutions (BFIs) are mandated to follow, providing client-centric products and services
7. Project learnings are disseminated, providing evidence to support future scale-up
