Nepal Disability Women Association conducts Annual Learning Workshop in Kathmandu

Nepal Disabled Women Association conducted Annual Learning Workshop in January 9, 2026, under the CBM funded project Action for Justice, at Hotel Yellow Pagoda, Kathmandu.

The Annual Learning Workshop was led by consultant Rita Shrestha Bhadra. The household visit volunteers, school health nurses and other volunteers were invited to the workshop to share their achievements, challenges and way forward.

The Budanilkantha Municipality Deputy Mayor Anita Lama formally inaugurated the program. She shared that NDWA has been consistently working with the municipality to improve the lives of the people with disability. The deputy mayor committed to continue coordinating with NDWA in the upcoming years as well.

The event was divided into two sections. In the first section, the project coordinator Ayushka Shrestha shared the achievements of the year, challenges faced, mitigation measures and way forward. The second section was facilitated by Rita Bhadra Shrestha, where the participants were divided into 4 different groups. Each group discussed and shared answers to the specific questions shared. The consultant concluded the session by compiling the findings of all of the participants.

The program was concluded by Tarkeshwar Municipality Deputy Mayor Sirjana Burlakoti. She shared appreciations to all the volunteers of the household visits. She also shared about her new plan to construct a school for children with autism.
